Alex Irwin

I’m an NYU undergraduate pursuing a dual focus in Drama (Tisch School of the Arts, Atlantic Acting Studio) and Economics (College of Arts & Sciences), with hands-on experience across both the creative and business sides of film, television, and digital media.

I’ve acted both on the stage and on camera in principal roles in short films and commercials including Blue Cross Blue Shield and NYU’s Stern School of Business. I have over a decade of musical theater and stage play experience taking on lead roles in many productions including RENT, Hadestown, Our Town, Ugly Lies the Bone, and SpongeBob the Musical.

Off stage, I’ve worked on feature film projects in Cape Town, South Africa, supporting set and props operations and gaining exposure to the business mechanics of entertainment, including cash flow fundamentals, tax rebate processes, and production logistics for studio-level clients such as Netflix and Skydance Media.

My experience also includes proposal writing and content development for academic and cultural initiatives, as well as directing and production support roles in theater and youth performance settings.
